Good music. Good people. Good times.
This is the driving philosophy behind the Backwoods Music & Camping Festival. The Labor Day Weekend event has earned the reputation of showcasing some of the best independent bands in Middle America, alongside nationally recognized artists and musicians, to create a one-of-a-kind weekend in Stroud, OK (half way between Tulsa and Oklahoma City). The beautiful landscape that surrounds the area at The Tatanka Ranch allows full access to swimming, fishing, camping, and more. VIPs enjoy access to a pool, lodge, showers, flushable toilets, special viewing areas, and more.
The festival has grown immensely since first being held in 2008 and has evolved into true family-friendly event providing a welcoming atmosphere for people from every walk of life. Aside from great music, attendees can take advantage of activities such as the fire tower climb, Ferris Wheel, helicopter rides, water playground, volleyball, billiards, hoop workshops, yoga classes, interactive art installations, and a vast selection of food and shopping.
The event's producers have created a community event full of great music, art, visuals, lights, and fun.
This year the festival will be celebrating its eighth year anniversary. In keeping with tradition, the festival will be even bigger and better than the last. Expect big things in 2015.
We've got 6 musical venues this year and several acres of decorated woodlands with lights, art, installations and more. Get lost in the Nirvana Woodlands. Stop in at the SolLun, a building with a bar in the woods made from completely recycled and found materials. Find yourself again in the Meadow, an opening in the woods with music blasting from a Treehouse DJ Booth above the crowd. Cool off in the 7,000 SF air conditioned club ELEVATE for a light show even during the brightest part of the day, or swing by Motherland for the biggest acts around.
The first lineup announcement boasts The Floozies as well as Keller Williams, and many other artists from around the country. Two more announcements with special "artist leaks" are coming over the next six months.
Tickets are ONLY available online this year, so get them early to save.
You don't want to miss Backwoods 2015.
